According to the patrol, Bonnie Baumgartner-Zimmer, 67, was driving a 2014 Toyota Camry east on Community Way. She went off the roadway at the intersection with Harmony Lane, the patrol said, and drove into a retention pond. Baumgartner-Zimmer’s vehicle became completely submerged.

She was extracted from the water and taken to Mount Carmel Dublin Hospital, where she died.

The patrol has not yet determined whether Baumgartner-Zimmer was wearing a seat belt. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
