Grocery Outlet, a California-based discount grocery chain, opens its first Columbus location — the West Olentangy Grocery Outlet — on July 10.
The retailer’s website reported that it offers brand-name items at prices up to sixty percent below other stores. Its grand opening begins at 8 a.m. July 10, with a ribbon cutting scheduled for 10 a.m. The store is independently owned and operated by Leonel Galeano and Wendy Tabora-Galeano.

West Olentangy Grocery Outlet is located at 749 Bethel Road in the Olentangy Plaza shopping center and will be open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. It joins Dayou International Market, which opened in the same plaza in the summer of 2024.
The Boat House now open for dinner
The Boat House at Confluence Park has reopened its restaurant for full-service dining for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic.
After five years as an event space, including a closure for nearly a year in 2022 following a water-pipe break, the restaurant reopened to the public on July 9. The menu features American dishes with some creative twists (think truffle popcorn chicken served in a popcorn box).
Raw-bar selections, steaks and classic entrees like shrimp and grits and a smash burger round out the offerings. The restaurant will be open for dinner Wednesdays through Sundays.
