Defensive tackle Mike Pennel was signed off the Cincinnati Bengals’ practice squad to the active roster.
The Bengals elevated Pennel from the practice squad to the active roster ahead of the team’s season-opening win against Cleveland. Cincinnati signed Pennel to the practice squad on Sept. 1.
Pennel had four tackles, a solo tackle and a tackle for loss against Cleveland.
Pennel was classified as a standard elevation. He reverted to the practice squad after the Week 1 game.
The Bengals also placed guard Lucas Patrick on the Reserve/Injured list.
The 34-year-old Pennel has played for the Green Bay Packers, New York Jets, Kansas City Chiefs, Atlanta Falcons and Chicago Bears over 11 NFL seasons.
