BUCYRUS — Volleyball is in the books and the Northern 10 released its all-league teams.
Co-champions Buckeye Central led the way with five honorees. Senior Maren McDougal earned co-Player of the Year honors after leading the league with 713 assists and 84 aces along with 116 kills, 32 blocks, and 215 digs. Classmate AJ Jury joined her on the first team with 250 kills, 10 aces, 38 blocks, and 24 digs. Freshman Mayzie Hanlon and sophomore Megan Siefert landed on the second team, senior Aleyse Siefert was an honorable mention.
Colonel Crawford had three with freshman phenom Reese Redman on the first team as her 343 kills ranked third in the league, she also 26 aces, 32 blocks, 236 digs, and 284 receptions. Sophomore Alaina Parr was named to the second team, classmate Sophia Gray was honorable mention.
Wynford junior Brooke Frombaugh (287 kills, 42 aces, 44 blocks, 420 digs, 315 receptions) rounded out the area first team honorees, junior Madisyn Watkins (598 assists, 26 aces, 215 digs) was honorable mention.
Bucyrus sophomore Victoria Stang (198 kills, 46 aces, 42 blocks, 110 digs, 160 receptions) earned second team honors, junior Aubrie Kimmel (142 kills, 19 aces, 321 digs, 306 receptions) was an honorable mention.
