Columbus police identify man killed in Karl Road shooting

Columbus police have identified a 28-year-old man as the person who was fatally shot during a robbery on the North Side.

Javanie Anderson, 28, of the Northeast Side, died after the shooting around 10:10 p.m. on June 16 in the 3600 block of Karl Road, on the North Side, police said. Anderson was found with a gunshot wound and died at the scene from his injuries.

Police said they believe the shooting involved “multiple individuals” and was a robbery. Detectives are looking at surveillance footage from other businesses in the area to try to identify possible suspects.
