Reinaldo Perez, a defensive lineman at Columbus Academy and one of the top-ranked high school prospects in central Ohio, has committed to Indiana over Ohio State, among other schools.
Perez, a four-star recruit, revealed his commitment on social media on June 3.
The Buckeyes had recruited Perez for at least a year. They offered him a scholarship last June.
Perez made 87½ tackles and 10 sacks as a junior last fall. He also had two pass breakups, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.
According to composite rankings from 247Sports, the 6-foot-6, 260-pound lineman is the No. 296 prospect in the nation and No. 11 in Ohio.
High school players are eligible to sign with schools in December.
