Lunken Airport has a new manager.
Seth Timmerman came on as manager of the city-owned facility on Jan. 18. He replaced Jaime Edrosa, who took a similar job in Texas after less than two years as Lunken’s manager.
Neither Timmerman or Edrosa responded to requests for comment.
Edrosa, 50, left Lunken to be closer to family in Texas, according to city spokesperson Mollie Lair.
Timmerman, 30, arrives with about eight years of airport management experience.
New manager most recently managed Clark County facility
Timmerman was most recently manager of the Springfield-Beckley Municipal Airport in Clark County.
He held that position for seven years, earlier spending nearly two years as operations manager for an airport in Darke County, Ohio, according to his LinkedIn page. Before that, he was a flight dispatcher at Indiana State University for a year.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in aviation management and unmanned systems at Indiana State in 2017.
Timmerman was one of 44 applicants for the Lunken job and one of eight interviewed for the position, according to minutes of the Lunken board.
His annual salary will be just shy of $120,000, according to the city’s pay roster.
‘No interruption’ in plans for terminal renovation, city says
During his time at Lunken, Edrosa led the airport’s effort to create a new strategic plan; closed one of Lunken’s three runways; began recruiting new tenants for the former runway site; and established a temporary customs office. He also worked on plans to renovate the airport terminal, shuttered in 2022, into a hotel/restaurant space.
Edrosa’s departure did not impact the terminal project, which is now moving forward, Lair said. “There was no interruption,” she said in an emailed statement.
In Texas, Edrosa became director of Addison Airport in suburban Dallas on Aug. 4. The airport is one of the nation’s largest general aviation facilities, according to an Addison city press release.
About 400 aircraft are based at Addison, compared to fewer than 200 at Lunken, according to data from the Federal Aviation Administration.
