The city of Akron and Akron Parks Collaborative are hosting a dedication ceremony for the new splash pad at Elizabeth Park, 40 E. Lods St., at 4 p.m. June 6 with neighbors, partners and supporters.
The splash pad has 15 features at over 2,600 square feet with elements for different abilities and age groups. The river theme and features were chosen through neighborhood engagement with leadership from Friends of Elizabeth Park and Akron Parks Collaborative.
Speakers will include Bridget Ambrisco, executive director for the Akron Parks Collaborative, Akron Mayor Shammas Malik and Valerie Moss, resident and president of Friends of Elizabeth Park.
