Cavs associate head coach Johnnie Bryant is a candidate for the Chicago Bulls’ head coaching vacancy. The Bulls received permission to interview Bryant, Andscape senior NBA writer Marc J. Spears reported on Wednesday, May 27.
Hired by Cleveland in 2024, Bryant is a longtime NBA assistant coach and mentor to Cavs All-Star guard Donovan Mitchell.
Bryant has previously been a head coaching candidate.
Last year, Bryant and former Cavs assistant Jordan Ott were finalists to become head coach of the Phoenix Suns. Ott landed the Phoenix job.
