Bengals Trey Hendrickson injury update after MRI for TNF vs. Steelers

Cincinnati Bengals defensive end Trey Hendrickson has a chance to play on Thursday night against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Hendrickson is “day-to-day” on the short week after suffering a back injury during Sunday’s loss to the Green Bay Packers.

Hendrickson had an MRI that came back clean, which opens the door for him to play in a matter of days.

Against the Packers, Hendrickson left the game with trainers and was initially declared questionable to return before the team eventually downgraded him to out.

With Hendrickson out, duties on the edge largely go to Joseph Ossai and depth names like Myles Murphy and Cam Sample. Bengals first-round pick Shemar Stewart just missed his fourth consecutive game with an ankle injury and remains a question mark for Thursday night, too.
