The Cincinnati Bengals sit stalwart in a sea of change in the AFC North.
Those Bengals elected to keep on rolling with Zac Taylor and staff while the rest of the AFC North hit the reset button.
For fans, it can be a point of frustration for a litany of reasons.
But for players, it’s some of the little unseen things that make it a welcome sight to see Taylor and the Bengals on the same page.
For example, offensive tackle Orlando Brown Jr. told Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com the following:
“When it comes to Zac, in terms of his ability to motivate his players, to always keep an ear to the locker room, to be able to manage the personalities that he’s asked to manage, from coaches to players, to me, it speaks volumes. There are a lot of things that go unseen, in terms of his operation, how he works, his determination, so many different things. I have tons of respect for Zac.”

Not that the other coaches in the division didn’t have that. Mike Tomlin is out with the Pittsburgh Steelers and the franchise has yet to nail down a replacement. The Baltimore Ravens just replaced John Harbaugh with Jesse Minter. The Cleveland Browns haven’t found a new coach, either.
But Brown’s comments touch on one of those rather murky things for fans. Things seem bad, but if the players say they’re content, who’s to argue?
One of the biggest apparent supporters of Taylor to this day is apparently Joe Burrow. It seems like Brown would be walking that same line with his public comments.
