Coroner IDs man killed in Carthage crash

A 49-year-old man is dead following a crash on West North Bend Road in Carthage on Saturday, June 21, according to Cincinnati police.

The Hamilton County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Kevin Sellars of Cincinnati on Monday.

Officials say the man was driving a 2000 Toyota 4Runner east on North Bend Road at about 9:25 p.m. on June 21 when he lost control of his vehicle and struck the curb, causing him to leave the roadway and hit a fixed object.

Sellars was transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where he later died from his injuries, according to a news release.

Police say that excessive speed and impairment are being investigated as possible contributing factors of the crash.

Any witnesses to this crash are asked to contact the Cincinnati Police Department’s Traffic Unit at 513-352-2514.
