23-year-old Wooster man dies in crash on High Street in Wadsworth

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a crash on High Street in Wadsworth that resulted in the death of a 23-year-old man the morning of May 13.

A 1997 Dodge Neon and a 2004 Ford Mustang were both traveling south on High Street when the Neon struck the rear of the Mustang at high speed, the Highway Patrol said in a news release. The Mustang went off the right side of the road and struck a pole.

The Neon went left of center and struck a northbound 2022 Ford F-250 pickup head-on, officials stated.

The driver of the Neon, identified as Jaden Flinders of Wooster, was transported to Summa Health Wadsworth-Rittman Medical Center, where he died.

The driver of the Mustang, an 18-year-old of Wadsworth, was transported to Cleveland Clinic Akron General. The driver of the F-250, a 37-year-old from Dundee, was not taken to the hospital after suffering minor injuries.

Wadsworth Police assisted the Highway Patrol on the scene. The crash is still under investigation.
