158 impaired drivers taken off Ohio roads during enforcement blitz

COLUMBUS – The Ohio State Highway Patrol said it removed 158 impaired drivers from state roadways during a three-day OVI checkpoint and saturation patrol enforcement last week.

The patrol held checkpoints in counties around Ohio from May 14 to May 16.

The patrol said “troopers checked over 18,500 vehicles, removed 158 impaired drivers from the roadway and made four felony arrests. Of those impaired drivers, 51 were arrested while traveling through a checkpoint location.”
