The Buffalo Bills will be lead by some obvious faces during the 2026 NFL season, such as head coach Joe Brady and quarterback Josh Allen.
Clearly individuals of such status will have their impact on the teams upcoming campaign. But what about those that are under-the-surface or overlooked?
FOX Sports recently predicted the “X-factor” for every NFL team once next season rolls around. In Buffalo, the choice was edge defender Greg Rousseau.
Rousseau, 26, is the selection mostly because of another player. In recent years, the Bills have signed a veteran to lineup on the other side of the defensive line to complement Rousseau and in 2026 it will be Bradley Chubb.
Both Rousseau and Chubb need to build momentum off of each other throughout next year. If the pair can do that and stay healthy, the Bills could go a long distance in 2026.
FOX Sports’ breakdown on Rousseau can be found below:
Free-agent acquisition Bradley Chubb is the Bills’ new No. 1 pass rusher, which could create more favorable matchups for Rousseau, who had seven sacks last season. A former first-round pick, Rousseau is key to helping new defensive coordinator Jim Leonhard’s defense come together. If he can take a step forward in his sixth NFL season, Rousseau would be a game-changer for what’s been an average pass rush.
