Summer vacation is winding down and the start of the 2025 football season is getting close.
A new class of players are poised to become rising stars in Section V. We want readers to tell us who they think the best football player will be in Class D in 2025. Our poll is presented by Faber Builders.
While the teams in each classification could still change, the Democrat and Chronicle looked at the top returning players based off the latest information on how classifications will shake out in 2025. So far seven teams are slated to play in Class D: Attica, Avon, Batavia Notre Dame/Byron-Bergen, Canisteo-Greenwood, Geneseo/Mount Morris, Oakfield-Alabama/Elba and Pavilion/York.
Based on that, we came up with a list of players who either are returning All-Greater Rochester team members or they made Section V All-Star teams in 2024.
