The Varsity 845 football players of the week polls are online for Oct. 29-Nov. 1. There will be voting in the large- and small-school divisions.
Information was utilized on reports gathered by Varsity 845. Coaches are encouraged to provide their game reports in order for athletes to be chosen; they may also nominate one player from their team by Sunday afternoon.
Winners of each weekly contest will be ineligible for the ensuing two weeks (no restrictions begins next week): Brennan Tessyman of Washingtonville and James Lilla of Newburgh in large schools; Dylan Fox of Port Jervis and Nick Sharp of Chester in small schools.
For Oct. 22-24, Lilla beat A.J. Gonzalez of Valley Central and Zach Filip of Minisink Valley in the large-school poll; and, Sharp beat Jack Buzzurro of Marlboro and Jay Pichardo of Port Jervis in the small-school poll.

Jaiseon Barnwell, Newburgh
He completed 13 of 27 throws for 217 yards and one score as the Goldbacks fell to Monroe-Woodbury 49-15 on Oct. 31.
Ethan Maldonado, Monroe-Woodbury
He had 11 carries for 112 yards and two scores and completed nine of 11 throws for 147 yards and two touchdowns as the Crusaders beat Newburgh 49-15 on Oct. 31.
Logan McKenna, Valley Central
He had 12 carries for 108 yards and one score as the Vikings fell to Beacon 31-19 on Oct. 31.
Ruben Simpson, Pine Bush
He had 14 carries for 109 yards and three scores as the Bushmen beat Roosevelt 41-20 on Oct. 30.
Varsity 845 football player of the week (small)

Jackson Barcone, Rondout Valley
He ran for 132 yards and one score, and passed for 141 yards and one TD as the Ganders beat Burke Catholic 22-8 on Nov. 1.
Maison Bragg, Highland
He scored the lone touchdown as the Huskies beat O’Neill 7-0 on Oct. 31.
Nick Drewnowski, New Paltz
He had two interceptions, plus 12 carries and 64 yards as the Huguenots nipped Marlboro 15-14 on Oct. 31.
Brandon Jenkins, Chester
Nick Sharp scored a pair of long touchdowns – one via pass, the other by a run – as the Hambletonians topped Saugerties 33-0 on Nov. 1.
