Vote for the Poughkeepsie Journal Girls Athlete of Week for April 20-26

With 58% of the total vote share, Lourdes girls lacrosse’s Taryn Satkowski is the Poughkeepsie Journal Girls Athlete of the Week for April 13-19.

The Poughkeepsie Journal Girls Athlete of the Week for April 20-26 is now live.

Nominations are based on information gathered and received by the Poughkeepsie Journal throughout the week. For consideration, coaches are asked to submit game information and player stats to Edecker@usatodayco.com before the end of the week.

Each week’s winner will be selected and posted in the upcoming week’s poll. Polls will close at 8:30 p.m. on Sunday night before the announcement the following morning.

Caelyn Deserre, Arlington girls golf

Deserre led Arlington to a 3-0 week as a team, Deserre shot a 39 at Trump National, securing the low-score for the fourth year in a row at the Mid-Hudson Regional Girls Golf Tournament. She also shot a 39 at James Baird Golf Course and Brae Burn Country Club throughout the week.

Lainey Donaghy, Haldane softball

Donaghy tallied eight hits, two doubles, four runs, two stolen bases and an RBI throughout the week.

Quinn Ahrenholz, Highland girls lacrosse

Ahrenholz finished with 11 goals and four assists throughout the week, including the sophomore’s 200th career point.

Catie Drag, Lourdes flag football

Drag finished with three touchdowns in three different ways in Lourdes’ 33-12 victory over Highland. She threw for, rushed for and grabbed an interception for touchdowns.

Livi Lathrop, New Paltz track & field

Lathrop placed first in both the high jump (5-1) and the triple jump (32-5.5) and placed second in the long jump (16-0.5) at the Kingston Tiger Relays on Saturday.

Ava Feliciotto, Wappingers girls lacrosse

Feliciotto finished with 11 goals and four assists throughout the week.

Emma Kozlowski, Ketcham softball

Kozlowski tallied four hits, six RBIs, two doubles and a run scored while helping the Storm to a 2-0 week.

Kiera Del Salto, Marlboro softball

Del Salto went 6-for-8 on the week with eight runs scored and an RBI, hitting a triple and one double in that span.

Sami Thomas, Haldane girls lacrosse

Thomas finished with 14 goals and two assists for the week.

Madyson Reynes, FDR girls lacrosse

Reynes scored 10 goals in a 3-0 week for the Presidents.
