The Poughkeepsie Journal Boys Athlete of the Week for April 13-19 is now live.

Nominations are based on information gathered and received by the Poughkeepsie Journal throughout the week. For consideration, coaches are asked to submit game information and player stats to Edecker@usatodayco.com before the end of the week.
Each week’s winner will be selected and posted in the upcoming week’s poll. Polls will close at 8:30 p.m. on Sunday night before the announcement the following morning.
Austin Seipp, John Jay baseball
Throughout the week, Seipp tallied 3 hits, five RBIs, two doubles and a pair of runs for the Patriots.
Alex Papaelius, New Paltz baseball
Papaelius recorded four hits, three RBIs and two runs scored in the week.
Austin Mielich, Pine Plains baseball
Shining in a 25-1 victory over Rhinebeck, Mielich went 3-for-4 at the plate with four RBIs and two runs scored. He also picked up the win on the mound, striking out six batters along the way.
Robert Paschal, Red Hook baseball
In the week, Paschal tallied five hits, six RBIs and five runs scored.
Connor Elliot, Highland baseball
Elliot recorded five hits and four RBIs throughout the week.
Quin King, New Paltz lacrosse
Helping to lead New Paltz to a 2-0 week, King recorded seven goals.
Javen Davis, FDR track & field
Competing at the Goshen Trotters Carnival, Davis placed first in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 59.23. He also placed third in the high jump with a jump of 5-10.
Tyler Durkin, Ketcham baseball
Durkin, in a big pitchers duel, picked up a win after going 5.2 innings of one-hit ball while striking out 11 batters in a 3-1 victory over Mahopac.
