The Poughkeepsie Journal Girls Athlete of the Week for April 13-19 is now live.

Nominations are based on information gathered and received by the Poughkeepsie Journal throughout the week. For consideration, coaches are asked to submit game information and player stats to Edecker@usatodayco.com before the end of the week.
Each week’s winner will be selected and posted in the upcoming week’s poll. Polls will close at 8:30 p.m. on Sunday night before the announcement the following morning.
Jenna Sakowich, John Jay Softball
Sakowich recorded three hits, six RBIs and a run scored for the week.
Paige Hotle, Ketcham softball
Hotle smacked four hits, a home run, eight RBIs and three runs scored for the week.
Samantha Maleck, Marlboro softball
The two-way star dazzled in the circle with 57 strikeouts and just three walks given up over 26.1 innings pitching. At the plate, Maleck went 7-for-9 with four doubles and four RBIs.
Taryn Satkowski, Lourdes lacrosse
The senior recorded 15 goals for the week, grabbing her 200th career goal and 300th career point in the process.
Ava Feliciotto, Wappingers lacrosse
Feliciotto tallied seven goals and six assists during the week, including her 100th career assist.
Chase Harris, Arlington flag football
Harris put up outstanding numbers for the week, throwing for 442 yards and rushing for 185 yards with 10 total touchdowns.
Adriana Alessandro, Spackenkill softball
Having a massive week, Alessandro recorded five hits, seven RBIs and three runs scored. That included a game-winning sixth inning grand slam to help beat Highland.
Madison Braren, New Paltz softball
Throughout the week, Braren tallied eight hits, a home run, seven RBIs and three runs scored.
Sadie Finn, FDR lacrosse
Finn recorded nine goals throughout the week.
