Who will be the Softball Player of the Week, presented by White Plains Hospital? It’s time to look at the standouts from April 27-May 3

Check out the nominees for lohud Softball Player of the Week, presented by White Plains Hospital, and cast your vote. The athletes’ credentials are listed above the fan poll, which will be open until 3 p.m. Wednesday, May 6. The winner will be announced on lohud sports social media on Wednesday.

Emily Boyle, Somers

The junior had 25 strikeouts this week over four games. One of her eight strikeouts against Horace Greeley on May 2 was the 400th of her career.

Marlena Balic, Westlake

The junior was 8-for-13 with five doubles, seven RBI, 10 stolen bases, six walks and eight runs scored over four games over the last week.

Elizabella Dec, Byram Hills

The senior hit .454 with a two-run home run over the last week.

Sophia Gutierrez, Eastchester

The junior was 7-for-11 over the last week with four home runs (including home runs in three consecutive games), eight RBI and four runs scored. Five of her eight RBIs came with two outs.

Kristin Howie, Ossining

The sophomore was 10-for-16 over five games in the last week with three home runs and eight RBI.

Lucy Logan, Dobbs Ferry

The freshman was 8-for-13 with two triples, two RBI and eight runs scored over the last week.

Maddy Mauri, Putnam Valley

The sophomore was 4-for-12 with two doubles, four RBI and five runs scored over three games in the last week.

Charlotte Picone, Rye Neck

The sophomore was 7-for-12 with a home run, a double, seven RBI and four runs scored over the last week.

Alexis Tighe, White Plains

The junior, over two games, was 9-for-13 with two doubles and five RBI and struck out 20.
