Utica Police investigating stabbing on Mohawk Street

An argument on Mohawk Street in Utica almost became deadly after one man was stabbed and the Utica Police Department is asking anyone with information to come forward.

At around 8:15 p.m. on March 8, the Utica Police Department received a call for a stabbing victim who was brought to Wynn Hospital in critical condition.

Through the care of emergency and operating room staff at Wynn, they were able to save the victim’s life, and police say he is expected to make a full recovery.

As the investigation progressed, it was learned that the incident occurred in the plaza on Mohawk Street. It was also learned that an argument had ensued when the unnamed male was stabbed and then suspects then fled the scene, and the unnamed male victim was driven to the hospital.
