A section of State Route 21 in the Town of Bristol, Ontario County, will be closed to all traffic starting at 6 a.m. on Monday, according to the New York State Department of Transportation.
On Monday, April 27, crews will begin a culvert replacement project that will close the section between Griesa Hill Road and State Route 64. NYSDOT stated that the road is expected to reopen by the end of June.
Motorists are asked to follow the posted detour using County Road 12 throughout the duration of the project.
This road closure could cause travel delays, and the construction schedule could change depending on the weather, according to the NYSDOT release.
NYSDOT is reminding motorists to slow down and drive responsibly in work zones. Ticket fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone.
