Section V football: Scores, live updates, highlights from Week 4

The Section V football regular season will be half over after this week. It’s Week 4 and there’s a logjam of teams in Class AA and Class A with 2-1 or 1-2 records.

This page will be updated throughout the night with scores, highlights and stats from Friday’s games.

Play suspended: Fairport 27, Pittsford 14

Fairport led Pittsford 27-14 with 9:51 remaining in the fourth quarter when play was suspended after a Fairport player was taken off the field by ambulance. The injured player, who appeared to want to remain on the field, was transported for further evaluation. The teams will determine at a later date when and how to complete the game.

Final score: Churchville-Chili 43, Canandaigua 36

Churchville-Chili improves to 3-1.

Final score: Batavia 22, Eastridge 0

Maggio Buchholz had 170 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 23 carries and added 13 tackles, two sacks and a forced fumble on defense to power Batavia.

Nolan Ball rushed for 132 yards on 21 carries for the Blue Devils.

Final score: Webster Thomas 28, Webster Schroeder 7

M.J. Wells returned an interception for a touchdown in the final minute to seal Webster Thomas’ first victory over Webster Schroeder in 10 years. The Titans improve to 3-1.

Final score: Palmyra-Macedon 33, Geneva 6

Final score: Le Roy/Caledonia-Mumford 33, East Rochester/Gananda 19

Score update: Webster Thomas 21, Webster Schroeder 7

On fourth-and-9, Nolan Bhame threw a 10-yard touchdown to Ty Estelle to put Webster Thomas up by two scores.

Final score: Irondequoit 46, Greece Athena 20

Cooper Moore ran for 140 yards and Kieran Stenzal added two rushing touchdowns for Irondequoit (4-0), which had 425 yards rushing.

Sam Thore recorded seven tackles, two interceptions and a fumble recovery for the Eagles.

Score update: Le Roy/Caledonia-Mumford 27, East Rochester/Gananda 0

Quarterback Brady McClurg had three rushing touchdowns for Le Roy/Caledonia-Mumford.

Score update: Webster Thomas 14, Webster Schroeder 7

Kalin Watkins threw a touchdown pass to Anthony Amico for Webster Schroeder.

Halftime score: Churchville-Chili 15, Canandaigua 14

Score update: Fairport 17, Pittsford 7

Brian Barbitta Jr. returned a punt that was blocked by Brenner Patterson 80 yards for a touchdown on the last play of the first half for Fairport.

Score update: Fairport 7, Pittsford 7

Fairport quarterback Samuel Roselli scored on a 3-yard run to tie the game.

Score update: Webster Thomas 7, Webster Schroeder 0

MJ Wells scored a rushing touchdown for Webster Thomas.

Halftime score: Victor 31, Greece Olympia/Odyssey 0
