The event will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Lakefront Park near the Finger Lakes Welcome Center, 35 Lakefront Drive in Geneva, Ontario County.

“PaddleFest Geneva”, according to the Geneva Business Improvement District, is designed for beginners and first-time paddlers, so no prior experience is required.

“This event is all about enjoying our lake front and lowering the barriers to entry,” Director of the Geneva BID Catherine Price said. “Seneca Lake is an amazing resource and we want residents and visitors to explore all the lake has to offer. We want people to see that kayaking is for everyone—no matter your age, ability, or experience.”

According to Geneva BID, the event will include:

“PaddleFest Geneva” is hosted by the Geneva Business Improvement District, the Adirondack Mountain Club of the Genesee Valley, Embrace Outdoors, Erie Canal Boat Company, and Don Urmston. It is sponsored by the New York State Canal Corporation and the Erie Canalway National Heritage Corridor as part of the Erie Canal Bicentennial Celebration, BID stated.
