Monday, Oct. 27 marks a day of transition for one outpatient service offered by the Mohawk Valley Heath System.
That’s when its new, state-of-the-art imaging center will open in the Medical Office Building on the corner of State and Columbia Streets, across Columbia Street from the Wynn Hospital.

And that means the imaging department at the health system’s Faxton Campus will close temporarily as the transition to the new facility is completed. The Faxton department is expected to reopen in the near future to offer CT scans, ultrasounds and X-rays on a reduced schedule.
PET scans will no longer be available at Faxton, only in the new imaging center.
Anyone with an imaging appointment at the Faxton Campus has been or will be notified about the change in location.
The medical office building with the new imaging center already houses two MVHS services: an outpatient pharmacy and an outpatient lab, both of which opened last year.
The building’s entire second floor holds the offices for the private practice CNY Cardiology.
The building is owned by Central Utica Building, LLC, a group of 12 doctors, including 10 who work at CNY Cardiology. The LLC leases the land on which the building sits from MVHS. MVHS plans to open an ambulatory surgery center and some specialty physician practices in the building as well.
