The New York Giants signed veteran wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. to a one-year deal earlier this week.
Beckham will rejoin the Giants in 2026 for the first time in seven seasons. The superstar receiver will undoubtedly have something to prove upon his return to New York, and he could make a major impact on the Giants’ offense as soon as Week 1.
Beckham spoke with the media following OTAs earlier today, making his plans clear after signing with the Giants on Monday.
“It feels great,” he said. “I had a lot of time off, and taking a step away from the game was best for me. I still love this game so much. It felt great just being back out there and back in the building, on this field. Looking at this stadium, it’s a pretty surreal feeling. I know I’ve got a lot of work to do. Harbs and I have already talked about it. I came here to earn it—nothing in my life was given to me. So I came here to earn it, work hard every day, and be the best I can for the team.”
Beckham recorded 5,476 yards and 44 touchdowns throughout his first five seasons in New York. The veteran most recently played in the 2024 campaign with the Miami Dolphins and did not play during the 2025 season.
The star receiver could quickly prove to be more than just a veteran locker room presence during his time with the Giants in 2026. Nevertheless, Beckham is officially back in New York for at least one final season.
