Nike is dropping a Puerto Rico-inspired light blue Shox R4 this summer, just in time for the New York City Puerto Rican Day Parade in June.
According to sneaker and fashion blog High Snobiety, the sneakers haven’t officially been released yet, but photos that have been leaked show the sneaker in “Glacier Blue,” all around, including the soles and laces.
Pops of red and white accent the shoe in homage to the Puerto Rican flag. The initials “PR” in red and white with a star graphic wrap the Shox columns and each pair of shoes is expected to come with a vejigante mask charm, a symbol of Puerto Rican folklore.
This isn’t the first time a sneaker brand has been inspired by “la isla del encanto.” In 2025, Puerto Rican superstar Bad Bunny launched a line of Adidas Gazelles with designs based on island towns for his historic residency in San Juan, which sold out within days.
When does the Nike Puerto Rico Shox R4 drop?
High Snobiety said the shoe will drop sometime this summer, with a possible early launch date ahead of the New York City Puerto Rican Day parade Sunday, June 14.
