This marks the 12th time the two franchises have opened the season against each other—one of the most frequent Week 1 pairings in NFL history. The Cowboys lead the all-time series 78-48-2 and have won 10 of the previous 11 season-opening meetings, with the Giants’ lone victory coming in 2016.
The rivalry, which dates to 1960, consistently delivers massive TV audiences and early-season drama.
A primetime opener at MetLife Stadium will set an electric tone for both clubs as they chase playoff contention in a loaded conference.
Fans now await the rest of the slate.
