Giants resurrection: Mom says John Harbaugh is 'all in' for New York

As the New York Giants turn the page under new head coach John Harbaugh, his mother Jackie insists her son has never been more fired up.

“He’s as motivated as he’s ever been with every job he has taken,” Jackie told Steve Serby of the New York Post. “I believe he’s always said, ‘I’m all in. I promise that we will do the very best that we can.’”

That mindset — drilled into the Harbaugh family for generations — is exactly what the Giants need after years of frustration. John, who poured 18 seasons into building the Ravens, arrives in East Rutherford treating this as fresh ground.

“He will look at what he sees, what he experiences and he will probably form some kind of a judgment,” Jackie said of the big-city spotlight. “John will look at it positively… He’s not going to be scared by New York because he’s going to embrace what New York has to offer in the sense of its historical culture.”

The lifelong coach’s wife knows her son won’t be swayed by past horror stories. Instead, he’ll judge every player on his own merits, treating everyone in the building — from stars to kitchen staff — with respect.

“Hopefully, then they come together as a family, so to speak,” she said.

To Giants fans starving for a winner, Jackie delivers her son’s direct message: “We will do the very best we can every single day to make you proud of your team. Just take one game at a time… and be enthusiastic for your team because that’s like the 12th player on the field.”

One day, one down, one positive step at a time. The resurrection starts now.
