VICTOR, NY — There is a last-minute change in name to Victor’s Daily Perk & Café, but the village’s new addition in a familiar spot is set to open June 3, just in time for breakfast.
Owners Jill Rizzo-Budd, who opened Allora Salon and Spa in Victor in 2012, and husband Steve Budd are going with a vibe reminiscent of the Central Perk cafe on the TV comedy “Friends.” And with another nod to show, this is “The One Where We Finally Open,” its Facebook post reads.
They have revamped the space that formerly housed the iconic Chit Chat Café before it closed in 2019 and, more recently, Shelly’s Village Café in the heart of the village.
The official opening is 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 3.
Because of some “behind-the-scenes legal fun,” what they originally wanted to call their eatery had to “pivot,” but the focus is still the same at Victor’s Daily Perk & Café.
The plan is to open for breakfast and lunch, Tuesdays to Sundays, with brunch on weekends.
Jill is handling the business side of things while Steve will be cooking up breakfast sandwiches, chicken waffles, eggs benedict and other breakfast staples, along with gluten-free and healthy options such as avocado toast and bagels, which will be supplied by SoHo Bagel Café in Greece. They also plan to use Union Place Coffee Roasters.
