The Brooklyn Nets (18-59) have five games left in their 2025-26 NBA season before the team breaks for the summer and works on getting better for the 2026-27 campaign. Brooklyn also has three home games left with this one on Sunday being against the Washington Wizards (17-60) and if you’re wondering where you can watch all the action live, you’ve come to the right place!
The Nets come into this game following a 141-107 loss to the Atlanta Hawks on Friday in which somewhat held its own through the first three quarters before completely dropping the ball in the fourth. Center Nic Claxton led the way for Brooklyn with 16 points and five rebounds while guard Malachi Smith, who recently signed a multi-year contract, put up 15 points and two rebounds in just 17 minutes off the bench.
The Wizards enter this matchup after a 152-136 loss at the Miami Heat on Saturday in which Washington played neck-and-neck with Miami in the first quarter, but the game slipped out of their grasp from the second quarter onward. Forward Will Riley had 31 points and five steals to lead the Wizards in both categories while guard Sharife Cooper had 20 points and seven assists in 25 minutes off the bench.

Advice and Prediction
The Nets come into this game on a two-game losing streak after losing to the Charlotte Hornets and Atlanta Hawks, but they should be better set up to end their losing streak on Sunday. Brooklyn is dealing with some crucial injuries heading into this matchup, but Washington is also dealing with a lengthy injury report so this game could come down to who is available.
The Wizards Tre Johnson, Bilal Coulibaly, and Justin Champagnie and if that is the case, Washington could have some struggles scoring the basketball, even against Brooklyn. It should also be noted that this game is between two teams hoping to end up with the first overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft so there could be a lot riding on which players sit out.
The Nets and Wizards rank as two of the worst teams in the league in terms of offensive rating and defensive rating, but the pace at which these teams play at is what could be the difference. Brooklyn plays at one of the slowest paces in the NBA while Washington plays at one of the fastest paces so whoever can establish their style of play should win this matchup.
Prediction: Nets 120, Wizards 115
