Missing Seneca County man found dead, family says

The daughter of 66-year-old Mark H. Taggerty, who was reported missing by the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office, says he has been found dead, according to a Facebook post.

The missing persons report stated that Taggerty was last seen leaving his workplace, Frazier Industrial on Waterloo-Geneva Road, “under suspicious” conditions on Monday morning.

He was last seen walking eastbound on State Route 5 and 20 toward the Village of Waterloo, police said.

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office canceled the missing person report for Taggerty on Friday afternoon, but stated they would not be releasing any further information out of respect for his family.

No other information was immediately available.
