A Middletown woman has died after the car she drove south on Interstate 87 went off the road and struck a tree on Sunday, June 15, near exit 14A in Ramapo, New York State Police said.
Anysah P. Nelson, 24, received medical attention at the scene and was taken to Nyack Hospital, where she was pronounced dead, according to a police news release.
On Sunday, at about 3:25 p.m., state police from Tarrytown barracks responded to a reported single-car collision on I-87’s southbound side. Preliminary investigation found the driver lost control of the car for unknown reasons.
The investigation continues. The state police asked that anyone with information call the State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation in Haverstraw at 845-344-5300 and reference case number NY2500527508.
