Massive search underway for missing 18-year-old in upstate NY

A large-scale search involving emergency responders and volunteers from New York and Pennsylvania is underway in Tioga County for a missing 18-year-old last seen Friday morning near the Susquehanna River.

According to New York State Police, Dalton Malmstrom was last seen leaving his home in the 2100 block of East River Road in the town of Nichols at about 7:45 a.m. May 9. Family members told authorities he was not acting like himself before he left.

Dalton is described as 5 feet 10 inches tall with dark hair. He was last seen wearing a dark-colored shirt.

Police said search efforts remain active in the area as crews continue looking for the teen.
