Dhymere Bailey, now 20, pleaded guilty in Monroe County Court to second-degree murder and second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, both felonies, in connection with the March 19, 2025 death of Sandra Blanding, 39, on Spencer Street, according to the Monroe County District Attorney’s Office.

“This defendant’s heartless murder took the life of Sandra Blanding, showing a complete disregard for human life,” said Assistant District Attorney Kevin Sunderland, who prosecuted the case and described the slaying as a “senseless act of violence.”

Bailey is scheduled to be sentenced on July 31 by Monroe County Court Judge Caroline Morrison, according to the DA’s Office. He is expected to be sentenced to 25 years to life in the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision.
