Employers represent the Hudson Valley region and a spectrum of industries, such as education, health care, home care, hospitality, law enforcement, manufacturing, nonprofits, public service, technology, transportation, warehousing and youth services.

Job seekers can expect some face time with companies offering entry-level to advanced skill positions as well as internships and fellowships including climate justice fellowship, farm worker, nurse aide, corrections officer, dentist, dietician and loan officer.

A few of the many hirers include Guardian Veterinary Specialist, Garnet Health Medical Center, the Federal Bureau of Prisons, Hospice of Orange & Sullivan Counties, Mid-Hudson Forensic Psychiatric Center, New York State Police, and United States Marine Corps.

Preparation and training

The event is sponsored by the Orange County Employment and Training Administration.

“The Spring Job Fair is one of the best opportunities of the year for job seekers to meet employers, explore open positions, and take that next step forward,” said ETA Director Steve Knob in a statement on the county website. “Orange County is proud to support our workforce and help residents build strong futures or re-enter the job market.”

ETA is offering a range of free training services to help applicants with resume preparation, interviewing skills and work readiness.

When, where, how much?

The career fair is open to the public and free to attend.

The fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 21 at the Galleria at Crystal Run in Middletown.
