The NFL offseason has reached that familiar stage. New York Jets training camp hasn’t arrived. There aren’t any preseason games to play at the moment, which means meaningful football is still weeks away.
Jets pass rusher Joseph Ossai took it upon himself to deliver some eye candy this week.
One of the Jets’ newest members shared a 52-second workout video from one of his offseason training sessions. While there weren’t any earth-shattering revelations, it didn’t take long for the clip to make the rounds on social media.
Let’s be clear about one thing. One workout video won’t determine whether Ossai enjoys a breakout season. It won’t guarantee sacks, pressures, or a dominant defensive front.
Summer highlights have fooled football fans before, and they’ll do so again. Still, that’s not really why the clip resonated.
Joseph Ossai provides another reason for optimism
Ossai looked explosive moving through drills, displaying the athleticism that made him such an intriguing addition to Aaron Glenn’s defense. More than anything, however, the video carried an unmistakable sense of confidence.
The closing message, referring to the Jets as the “2026-27 Super Bowl Champs,” quickly grabbed the attention of fans who are eager to believe this roster can take another step forward. That’s the beauty of this time of year. Football can’t get here soon enough.
Every encouraging sign feels bigger than it probably should. Every offseason clip sparks conversation. Every glimpse of a player in the gym reminds everyone that training camp is getting closer.
Whether Ossai records five sacks or fifteen this season won’t be decided by a 52-second social media video. It will be decided on Sundays.
Jets Wire will continue to provide updates throughout the 2026 offseason.
