The New York Jets are heading into the 2026 NFL season with some expectations of improvement coming. Could that be bad news for head coach Aaron Glenn?
The team has saddled their offense to a new tandem: Quarterback Geno Smith and offensive coordinator Frank Reich.
Defensively, the team will have a new look as well. In 2026, Glenn is taking the reigns of the unit. He plans to call plays and will change the scheme.
In the end and if things go sour, Pro Football Focus worries that could spell bad news for Glenn. PFF named a list of six coaches that are potentially on the “hot seat” heading into next season and Glenn leads the way at the top.
The others alongside Glenn are former Jets head coach Todd Bowles (Buccaneers), Zac Taylor (Bengals), Shane Steichen (Colts), plus two others labeled as “worth monitoring” in Nick Sirianni (Eagles) and Matt LaFleur (Packers).
