A Hyde Park man was shot and killed late in the afternoon Oct. 3 in Poughkeepsie, city police said.
Police said officers responded to a report of a shooting at the corner of Main and Garden streets at approximately 5:20 p.m.
They found Gabrial Mosca, 22, of Hyde Park, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Mosca was taken to MidHudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie, where he later died from his injuries.
Main Street was closed between Market and Academy streets for several hours while crime scene technicians and detectives conducted their investigation.
City of Poughkeepsie police are urging anyone with information about the shooting to come forward. Anonymous tips may be submitted at the department’s confidential tip line at 845-451-7577.
