The Elmira-Corning region has produced several high-caliber college lacrosse players over the years, including 2026 University of Virginia preseason All-American Jenna DiNardo from Corning.
Here are 11 players to watch this spring who are competing for Elmira-Corning region girls lacrosse teams, with a focus on returning all-state or Section 4 all-stars.
Kennedy Driscoll, Corning, sophomore
Already a varsity veteran, Driscoll’s all-around play is a key for the Hawks. She has 5 goals through five games.
Ellie Jankowski, Horseheads, sophomore
Jankowski is a strong two-way presence for the Blue Raiders at midfielder. She scored three goals in a win against Elmira.
Lauren Kozemko, Horseheads, senior
Kozemko was a fifth-team Class B all-state selection last season by the New York State Sports Writers Association and a first-team Section 4 Division 1 all-star at midfielder. The University at Albany commit went over 100 career goals as a junior, when she had 59 goals, 10 assists, and 88 draw controls.
Lexi Lese, Horseheads, senior
Lese was an honorable mention all-state pick last season and a first-team Section 4 Division 1 all-star at attack. The Niagara commit had 39 goals and 39 assists in 2025.
Avery McCauley, Elmira, freshman
McCauley’s hat trick was a highlight for the Express in a loss to Horseheads.
Roni Nevins, Corning, sophomore
Nevins has had games of 3 goals and 2 goals during the young season.
Christina Peet, Corning, senior
Peet’s season has included a hat trick against Binghamton and 2 goals in a victory over Elmira.
Kate Rought, Horseheads, senior
The Blue Raiders’ goalie had 92 saves last season and was a second-team Section 4 Division 1 all-star. She received honorable mention to the Class B all-state team.
Reagan Slocum, Corning, senior
Slocum’s season was highlighted by a 2-goal, 3-assist effort in a win over Binghamton. She had 2 goals in a victory over Elmira.
CarLynn Sindlinger, Horseheads, senior
Sindlinger’s scoring punch was evident in a win over Elmira, when she contributed 4 goals and an assist.
Brynna Walsh, Corning, freshman
As an eighth-grader, Walsh was a second-team Division 1 all-star at attack. She has been a big-time offensive contributor through five games this season, scoring 12 goals to go with 9 assists.
