GlassFest officially begins at noon Friday, May 22 with the Glass Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on the Centerway Square Stage, marking the start of a weekend dedicated to artistry, innovation, and community.
Visitors can shop from the 130-plus artisan vendors, participate in interactive glass experiences and demonstrations, watch street performers, cultural dances, and family-friendly programming, join community fitness activities and walking tours.
Corning’s Gaffer District is hosting this year’s Rock the Park concerts, bringing national touring acts and regional favorites to Riverfront Centennial Park.
Friday night’s kickoff performance is by Fall Creek Brass Band at 5:30 p.m. The next act is John King, from Nashville, and the headliner is Drake White detouring to Corning from his international tour opening for Reily Green.
Saturday night’s opening act is Uptown Groove starting at 6 p.m., followed by headliner Traci Bruccoleri, with a fireworks finale over the Chemung River ending the night around 9:45 p.m.
Live music performances will take place during the day all weekend on every block of Market Street, Price said.
On Sunday a Memorial Day Service will take place in coordination with the American Legion honoring those who have served. Corning Mayor Pam Walker will recognize those who gave everything in service, and the Corning Community Concert Band will be performing.
