Girls lacrosse – Top USA Lacrosse awards presented to Section 9 stars

The Section 9 girls lacrosse top awards were recently named for the 2026 spring season.

The USA Lacrosse awards for All-American went to Warwick junior Kelsy Larney; Kingston junior Brooke Longo; Monroe-Woodbury junior Kyra Gilligan; and, Valley Central junior Rilee Kinsley. These awards went to players who possess superior skills, techniques, game sense and knowledge, and embody proper sportsmanship.

The All-Academic awards went to Kingston senior Danica Louie; Washingtonville senior Sophia Zupancic; Highland senior Annabelle Bruschetti; and, Warwick senior Erin Kelly. These awards went to players with academic success, plus good sportsmanship and lacrosse skills.

The Jackie Pitts award – chosen for seniors who honor the game of lacrosse and serve their team, school and community – goes to Washingtonville senior Sophia Zupancic.
