Giants expect Malik Nabers, Cam Skattebo to practice during training camp

New York Giants head coach John Harbaugh expressed optimism about the impending returns of wide receiver Malik Nabers and running back Cam Skattebo as training camp approaches. Both players continue to make steady progress in their rehabilitation from injuries that sidelined them late in the 2025 season.

Nabers, recovering from a torn ACL and a partially torn meniscus, and Skattebo, who suffered an open ankle dislocation with fibula fracture and a ruptured deltoid ligament, are described as being on schedule and improving daily.

Harbaugh noted their dedication.

“They’re doing well. They’re both in rehabbing every day, working super hard. I would say they’re on schedule,” the coach said on The Domonique Foxworth Show. “They’re doing well and getting better every day.

Harbaugh noted that Skattebo is further ahead because of the nature of his injury.

“Skatt will be ready early on in camp and Malik will be working his way into practice as camp gets started one way or another,” Harbaugh said. “There’s a lot of optimism around both of those guys right now. I feel really good about their respective paths. I don’t want to make any guarantees, but I think you’ll see a lot of those guys this season. Skatt is further ahead based on the type of injury, but Malik is not far behind. He’s in a good place right now.”

With training camp set to open in two weeks, the Giants anticipate both key offensive contributors will participate to varying degrees, bolstering expectations for a strong start to the 2026 season under Harbaugh.

The updates provide positive momentum for an offense looking to integrate its young talents effectively.
