Former New York Giants, Jets quarterback Tyrod Taylor headed to Green Bay

Former New York Giants quarterback Tyrod Taylor has agreed to terms with the Green Bay Packers, per NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.

Taylor, a 15-year veteran, will serve as the backup to Packers quarterback Jordan Love. The former Giant spent the 2022 and 2023 seasons as Daniel Jones’ backup in New York and proved to be a reliable and serviceable option when called upon.

Taylor recorded 1,399 passing yards and six touchdowns across 14 appearances with the Giants. He signed with the Jets in 2024 following his two-year stint in New York and now finds himself backing up one of the league’s most injury-prone quarterbacks.

Taylor has been a solid backup option during his four total years in the New York market with both the Giants and Jets. In Green Bay, he will need to stay ready at all times while playing behind Love.
