Flamingo Park Neighborhood Association elects board
The Flamingo Park Neighborhood Association recently elected four members to its seven-person board of directors. Re-elected members include Linda Cullen, Tanya Lewicki and Julie Mullen, with the addition of Raphael Clemente as a newly elected member. Susan Hill, Steve Large and Rick Reikenis also serve on the board, but were not up for election. The association also announced its officer slate for 2026-27, with Rick Reikenis serving as president, Raphael Clemente as vice president, Tanya Lewicki as treasurer, and Steve Large as secretary. Located just south of booming downtown West Palm Beach, Flamingo Park is one of the city’s historic neighborhoods, known for its distinctive character, architectural charm and strong sense of community.
Palm Health Foundation board of trustees elected
Palm Health Foundation has announced the election of new officers to serve on its board of trustees. The new leadership will help guide the foundation’s mission to inspire and fund solutions for better health in Palm Beach County through community collaboration. Dr. Christine Koehn will serve as board chair. Koehn brings over 20 years of leadership and expertise in facilitating partnerships and community collaboratives. Frances Fisher has been elected vice chair. She brings more than 30 years of civic leadership to the foundation, including current roles as vice chairman of Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens. Nathan Nason, a Palm Beach County native, will serve as treasurer. A shareholder at Nason, Yeager, Gerson, White and Lioce, P.A., Nason has practiced complex commercial litigation and environmental law for over 30 years. Andrea Stephenson Royster has been elected secretary. A native of Palm Beach County, Royster is the CEO of the Health Council of Southeast Florida, focusing on population health planning and community health improvement. Palm Health Foundation builds strong community partnerships, respects diverse opinions, advocates for its most vulnerable neighbors, and inspires innovative solutions to lead change for better health.
Temple Israel hires executive director
On the heels of relocating to an expansive new home after 75 years, Temple Israel in West Palm Beach has announced its new executive director David Schimmel. An established leader with more than three decades of senior leadership experience, Schimmel has built a national reputation for strategic leadership, operational excellence and a deep commitment to strengthening Jewish communities. Founded in 1923, Temple Israel was the first Jewish organization in Palm Beach County and today is among the most thriving reform congregations in the country. The synagogue relocated to 2101 North Australian Avenue in West Palm Beach after 75 years at its previous space on N. Flagler Drive, just north of downtown West Palm Beach.
Clinics Can Help adds to board of directors
Clinics Can Help has announced the appointment of Gil Martinez, owner of Gil Martinez Agency State Farm, to its board of directors. Martinez, a State Farm agent serving the Western Palm Beach community, has built his agency on a foundation of trust, personalized service, and a commitment to helping individuals and families protect what matters most. His passion for giving back and supporting local initiatives aligns closely with the mission of Clinics Can Help, working to provide medical equipment and supplies to children and adults who need it most.
Community Foundation appointment to council
The Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties, a nonprofit organization that leads partnerships with donors, nonprofit organizations, and community members to address the region’s chronic and emerging issues, recently announced the appointment of Lawrence J. “Larry” Miller to its philanthropic advisory council. Lawrence (Larry) J. Miller is a Florida attorney with more than 40 years of experience representing individuals, families, banks, and charitable organizations in probate, trust, and guardianship matters. The Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties relies on a network of partners across key sectors to address our region’s most pressing needs.
