Following death of Endicott trustee, mayor appoints Anna Marion

The Village of Endicott’s newest trustee, Anna Marion, was sworn in May 29.

The ceremony, held at the village’s municipal building, consisted of a swearing-in officiated by associate justice Mike Hilla, followed by brief remarks from Marion.

The trustee position was vacated following trustee Ted Warner’s death in early May. Warner was elected for the two-year term in 2023.

Marion was appointed by Village of Endicott Mayor Nick Burlingame.

Marion said she is looking forward to being able to contribute to the village’s success moving forward.

“It’s an honor to finish out Ted’s term — he was with the village for a very long time, and I am very grateful for the opportunity Nick has given me,” she said. “I am excited to get started. The village has made all of these improvements, and I am just glad to be a part of that in the future.”

Marion said one of her top priorities as a trustee will be focusing on making improvements to zoning within the village. Marion also mentioned wanting to keep Endicott safe and inclusive for all residents, and preserving the area’s character and history.
