A large fire destroyed the market building at Bauman’s Farm on Five Mile Line Road in Webster early Wednesday morning, according to a statement posted by the Bauman family on Instagram.
The extent of the damage and the cause of the fire were not immediately known.
No injuries reported
The Bauman family said firefighters from the Webster, West Webster, Penfield, Brighton and Irondequoit fire departments “worked tirelessly throughout the night” to battle the blaze.
No injuries were reported.
“Our hearts are heavy, but we are incredibly grateful for what matters most: everyone is safe,” the family said in its statement.
“We are assessing our next steps and will provide updates here and on our social media pages as they become available.”
Investigation underway
The Democrat & Chronicle has reached out to the Webster Fire Department and the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office for information on the cause of the fire and the extent of the damage.
