Practice for fall high school sports begin across New York state next week.
All football, soccer, field hockey, cross country, girls tennis and game-day cheerleading squads, and some golf and volleyball teams kick off their new seasons.
Within Section III, less than half of the girls volleyball teams play in the fall; others hold out and compete in winter. Boys golf is split between the fall and spring seasons.
As spectators and participants, the Observer-Dispatch and Times Telegram are wondering which of these fall sports you most look forward to getting started.
Vote online at timestelegram.com and uticaod.com. The polls will be open until Sunday, Aug. 17, at 5 p.m. with results coming Monday.
