It’s the time of year to head to Angelica for “the fair with a country smile.”
The 180th Allegany County Fair runs July 14-19 on the fairgrounds in the Village of Angelica.
Since the first Allegany County Fair on Oct. 8, 1844, the annual event has highlighted Allegany County’s rich agricultural heritage, while promoting volunteerism, hands-on learning and community pride.
Fair week favorites include rides and games, agricultural exhibits and shows, fair food and treats, along with demonstrations and displays.
General gate admission for the fair is $10, 8 a.m.-4 p.m.; $15 from 4-9 p.m. The admission price covers all grandstand events and mini theater performances, as well as the exhibits and displays.
Carnival rides are not included in the admission price.
Parking is free for as long as space allows.
The opening ceremony is at 9 a.m., Monday, July 14. The fair’s 2025 dedication is still to be announced.

American Amusement Rides returns with carnival attractions and rides for the 2025 Allegany County Fair.

Wellsville Runnings sponsors half off ride wristbands July 15
Runnings in Wellsville is stepping up for carnival fans on Tuesday of fair week. The store will provide 50% off discount ride wristbands to the first 500 patrons through the gates on July 15.
Regular gate admission prices apply.
Family Day admission is $5 on July 16
Fairgoers can save money on July 16 while enjoying Family Day at the fairgrounds. The discount gate admission is $5 all day.
Family Day has a packed lineup at the Mini Theater, including the popular Baby Contest at 11 a.m., Children’s Pedal Tractor Pull at noon, the Rooster Crowing Contest at 2 p.m. and the Short Tract Theater’s presentation of “Bye Bye Birdie” at 4 p.m.
Daily attractions at the Allegany County Fair
The fair’s daily attractions including agricultural and horticultural exhibits, a working sawmill and steam museum, the Maple Shack, the Milton Jennings Memorial Exhibit Hall and the Shawmut Rail Museum.
The 4-H shows and judging take place in the Livestock, dairy and horse arenas.
Visit the barns and look over the swine, goats, rabbits, sheep and cattle.
